Unwind, connect, and indulge in the joy of embroidery with a group of like-minded individuals. Join me for an experience that’s both relaxing and creatively fulfilling.

During this class, you’ll craft something that’s not only decorative but also practical, all while mastering the art of simple embroidery stitches.

Embroidery has transcended the realm of traditional doilies, transforming into a platform for modern artistic expression. The emphasis here isn’t on perfection but on the enjoyment of the embroidery process, where colours and textures come together to form unique creations.

Allow me to guide you through the creation of stunning designs using straightforward embroidery stitches and top-quality wool felt. Inspired by Wendy Williams’ enchanting ‘Bamboo Steamer Bowl’ pattern, we’ll work with the exceptional 100% wool felt from My Felt Lady, renowned for its resilience and sewability.

Together, we’ll craft a decorative top perfectly tailored to a seven-inch bamboo steamer. The class is scheduled five hours, with a brief half-hour intermission, giving  time to complete your embroidered felt masterpiece and securely attach it to the steamer.

Materials included:

My Felt Lady wool felt and pre-cut appliqué pieces.

Bamboo Steamer 7″

Embroidery threads.

Chenille Embroidery needle.

Wendy Williams Bamboo Steamer pattern to take home.

What to bring:

Needle threader and thimble if you need one.
