In this workshop, you’ll create something both beautiful and practical while learning simple embroidery stitches.

I’ll guide you step-by-step using quality wool felt from My Felt Lady, renowned for its resilience and suability and using Wendy Williams’ pattern as we create a decorative top to fit a seven-inch bamboo steamer.

This is a relaxed, creative class where the focus is on enjoying the process rather than striving for perfection. You’ll explore colour and texture as you stitch.

The workshop runs for five hours, with a short break, giving you plenty of time to complete your piece and assemble your finished project.

Materials included:

My Felt Lady wool felt and pre-cut appliqué pieces.

Bamboo Steamer 7″

Embroidery threads.

Chenille Embroidery needle.

Wendy Williams Bamboo Steamer pattern to take home that will include another two patterns.

What to bring:

Needle threader and thimble if you need one.

Embroidery scissors or thread cutter.

Your favourite embroidery needles.

Craft desk light if you require extra lighting.

Light lunch.

Class sizes:

The class is kept to a maximum of six people so I can give each person individual tuition, attention and supervision. The atmosphere is focused yet relaxed and students are encouraged to work at their own pace.

• Full refunds are given for cancellations made up to 5 days before the workshop start date.  Alternatively you can rebook another date if available.
• Full refund given or alternative dates offered if the workshop is cancelled by The Fabric and Felt Studio
• Cancellations made within 5 days of the workshop will incur a 30% cancellation fee based on the workshop cost, applicable regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness or other unforeseen circumstances as advertising costs and processing fees have already been incurred.  
• No refunds will be issued if cancelled on the day, or once a two day workshop has begun. 
• No refund will be issued for no-shows.
• If you are unable to attend, please consider gifting the workshop to avoid any cancellation fee.
